With a recognizable identity, the designer Gianni Versace founded the brand in 1978, changing with his revolutionary designs the way of understanding fashion. Gianni was passionate about art, especially Cubists and Art Deco, experimentation with materials and ancient history, comparing his workshop with a Renaissance studio. Declared fan of Almodóvar and Paul Poiret and great friend of Jane Fonda, Cindy Crawford, Cher, Elton John or Sting, among others, it is said that he was responsible for the phenomena of super tops in the early nineties.
